Why free?

Asking your AI whether a component is suitable for additive manufacturing is the right approach. The problem isn't the AI itself, but rather the lack of follow-up questions due to a lack of project experience.
A generic AI does not know the patterns we have learned through years of real project work.
AMfriend is not a product. It is a conversation guide that we developed in our own work and that we believe will also be useful to others.
A custom-developed AI solution would likely be more technically precise. But it would require a company to procure it, approve it internally, and implement it. That takes time. AMfriend works with the AI that someone is already using. No approval process, no project proposal. The first step should be so simple that it's easy to take.
AMfriend is a work in progress. We are currently testing whether this approach works and welcome honest feedback.
